Bedrooms

There are seven bedrooms in total, one is on the ground floor, four are on the first floor and two are on the second floor. All are carpeted throughout with central heating in all rooms.

Our beds are normally made up with duvets and sheets and blankets can be provided if preferred.

Our standard pillows are non allergenic polyester, however alternatives are also available.

Please specify before your arrival if required.

There is seating, bedside tables, bedside lamps, a wardrobe, plus a chest of drawers/dressing table provided in each room.

There is flat screen Free view digital TV with subtitles in all rooms and WiFi is available and free throughout the house

Bedroom 1

This room is on the ground floor, with step free level access from the front door. There is a double bed (access both sides) and a single bed (access one side). The single bed can be removed to produce more space.

There is a Freeway Hoist which goes under the bed

The room has enough room for a wheelchair turning circle

Electric wheelchairs may be charged over night and stored in either hall or bedroom

Beds may be moved to suit your needs

Microwave and fridge available on request

Bedroom 2

This is a Double/Single (access both sides) bedroom located on the first floor, there are eighteen steps from ground level. There is a step into the shower and no hand grab rails.

Bedroom 3

This is a large Family/Double/Twin (access both sides) located on the first floor, there are nineteen steps from ground floor level. There are no hand grab rails in bathroom and a step into the shower.

Bedroom 4

This is a Double (access both sides) /Single (access one side). /Twin room located on the first floor, there are nineteen steps from ground floor level and there are no hand grab rails in bathroom. The shower is over the bath.

Bedroom 5

This room is a Double (access one side). / Single located on the first floor, there are eighteen steps from ground floor level. There are no hand grab rails in bathroom and a step into the shower

Bedroom 6

This is a Double/Single (access both sides) located on the second floor, there are a further ten steps, a turn in the landing and then 5 more. There is a hand rail on the right hand side of the staircase. There are no hand grab rails in the bathroom and the shower is over the bath.

Bedroom 7

This is a suite of two adjacent rooms for families located on the second floor, there are a further ten steps, a turn in the landing and then 5 more. One Double/Single (access both sides) room and one Twin/King (access both sides) sized bedroom each with an en-suite. There are no hand grab rails in the bathroom. One en-suite has a shower over the bath and the other a level entry shower.

Dining Room

The door opening to the dining room is 800 mm/32 ins wide and it has a ramp into the dining room

Lighting is natural daylight and light levels are controlled with a double fluorescent overhead light.

The flooring is short pile carpet.

We are able to cater for varying dietary requirements. Please advise us when making a booking.

Breakfast is served but you can help yourself to fruit and cereal

There is an electric fire to supplement the central heating if required.

There is seating for 20 people at five solid wood pine tables with coordinating chairs.

A table/tables may be set aside from the main dining area on request

Assistance can be provided on request.

Where possible all foods are either made on the premises or locally source

The Garden

Guests are very welcome to enjoy our garden at all times. Our garden has two levels. The higher level has ramp access via the dining room. This is paved and south facing with a garden bench, which guests may use as a designated smoking area as smoking is not permitted in the property. An ashtray can be provided on request.

There is ample wheelchair turning space in this area. The lower level has ramp access via the side of the house. This area is really not suitable for wheelchair users or those with severe mobility problems.

The area is grassed; there is a swing with a bucket seat for the larger disabled child and a decked area with tables and chairs.
